Builder Company: Quality Structures Inc.
Project Name: Meyer Truck Center
Building Owner: Randy Meyer
Person to be recognized: Rob Pearce
Entry #: 75 Category: 1st Place Award – Hobby Shops
Award Contact Name: Josh Nowlin
Building Use, Importance, and Newsworthiness: The monitor style building is to be used by Randy Meyer as a garage/showroom for his many racing vehicles with the 28’ lean to be used as the office for his business. The completely open interior gives him ample room to show off his collection of cars with the raised center aisle of the main building being completely lined in white steel.
Unique Features: The many attached leans and inset porch along with the stone veneer and custom overhead doors gives the exterior of the building a distinctive and unique look to match the garage/showroom.
Post-frame Advantage: Post frame was the most cost effective way to build a shop and office all in one. Post frame allowed the main building height of 20’ where conventional framing would not have been possible.
Insulation: WeatherWrap Microfoil & R-19/R-30 Batt
Foundation or structural components: 4’ embedded posts by Midwest Columns, LLC.
